I got paid $13 an hour at a cafe when I was 17 years old, and the pay was the same on Sundays and public holidays! I also used to have to work almost every day straight after school from 3pm-5pm – so only 2 hours which is not legal. Additionally, I wouldn’t get a break unless I worked over 6.5 hours, and there was a few times I was made to take my break after the first hour. As I was paid cash in hand, I couldn’t actually report anything either.
