I worked at a cafe that was only open during school hours so I could only work on weekends and holidays. I got paid $12 an hour during the week (15 on weekends) and would often work 5+ hours a day. I got a break and free food from the cafe which was the only perk, but we weren’t allowed to sit down at all and I got some really bad back pain from working there. They forgot to pay me 3 times and the last shift I worked (Xmas Eve) they didn’t pay me but because I didn’t go back I couldn’t be bothered even though I would have gotten time and a half. I silent quit because my manager didn’t offer me any more shifts even though I offered multiple times…
