I worked at a small cafe for about 18 months virtually full time getting paid $20 an hour, no Sunday or public holiday rates at all and all cash in hand. Because of this I was no longer eligible for a health care card because I was asked to be on jobseeker when I said I already have a job I was never able to prove that I have one for obvious reasons, also had to give 3+ months notice of any unavailability to my boss which was still frowned upon when I took time off. Also never got a full break in 7/8 hour shifts, I would get a meal when the kitchen had closed, but if any customers came in I would have to stop eating and look after them
